    Greetings Everyone,

I figured this would be the best place to post this since the C&EI was eventually absorbed the L&N.

I'm looking for anyone that has old track maps/track charts for the C&EI / L&N between Evansville and Chicago.

The time period I'm looking for would be anything from the late 1960's thru the early 1980's.

If you have anything like this or know where I can find it let me know. I've searched all the providers of track maps that I'm aware of.

I do have a map book for this trackage already, but it's CSX and dated circa 1995. A little newer than I really want.

Thanks in advance for any info!

    Mike-

I'm wondering if there's a little confusion here. The Chicago & Eastern Illinois was absorbed into the Missouri Pacific during 1976.

By any chance were you thinking of the Monon Railroad? It went into the L&N.

Track maps potential source: http://trainsite.8m.com Usually on the pricey side. Reproduction quality spotty. But probably the largest collection available.

The eastern part of the C&EI was absorbed by the L&N, MP & L&N split the stock, too.

Yeah, as Matthew mentioned the Eastern portion between Woodland Jct and Evansville was absorbed by the L&N while the MoPac took the Western portion from Woodland Jct to St. Louis.

I'm trying to find old track maps of the Eastern/L&N portion circa late 1960's/early to mid 1970's.

I've checked the trainsite catalog in the past and haven't really found much. I'll keep looking though.

I'm planning a trip back to my hometown this fall sometime. Hopefully I can visit the C&EI Historical Society and find something from them.

    Thanks! :D
