Now that track laying is almost completed on my layout I am starting to think about scenery etc. I need to install concrete retaining walls for my graded track area. I would like to build precast concrete walls for that area, any suggestions on what to use? I model N scale if that helps.

Well I guess that casting them from plaster would be the traditional way. Cutting them from foam-core board and covering with light weight spackel would work. And if all you will see is the front surface, cardboard od similar material will work after its painted. HTH.....Mike [IMG]

Have a look at MRL MICK'S pic's on the N scale layout, the method used by R J is in a MRC magazine of a couple or years ago, you simply make a mold of timber about the size of a 10 x 10 picture frame. You then lay strips of balsa in the bottom of the mold and pour in the plaster in the size of the wall or portal you want. I will try and find the article or someone else may know what issue it was.
    Good one! :D
