My ONLY problem with the duplication of product in the market is that it tends to result in some manufacturers saying "N Scale doesn't sell as well" because they made a poor choice for whatever reason. 'Back in the day' Manufacturers would talk, and not overlap just to make sure the market stayed vibrant. Occasionally, you would have duplication, but it was when there was an advance in quality or technology. Now, when 90% of product coming out is good to great, that isn't such a thing any more. I hope BLI doesn't stiff on their Big Boy, but there are sooooo many choices out there that haven;'t been done, and would have a clear market. (This comment does not apply to things that are long out of production and needed in the market- I'm looking at you Intermountain tunnel motors and SD540-2's)
