Bill, I just can’t get your trucks out of my mind. They are beautiful and now every time I see a truck on the highway, I wonder if there’s a model available.
I think I just might have a new hobby. :tb-biggrin:

    Several Thoughts

First of all, JOLLY, are you NUTS?!?!? But I'll bet that was FUN!!! And you weren't BORED after that! (terrified, maybe; NOT bored)

Next, that Spruance-class 'can is going to be BEAUTIFUL! Just PLEASE don't get into the R/C war games and ruin it - those nuts actually SINK 'em!

As far as diversions go, and solving boredom, I guess I'm lucky. Sandy gets the table from Early November until late January or early February for her HO Christmas setup, so I lose working time there. We have Farpoint sci-fi convention in February and Shore Leave (30 years and counting!) in July, and I shoot video for Temple of Trek at those (don't ask), then I'm SUPPOSED to edit it for DVDs - and I'm 2 years behind. My network server at home died in December and I've been trying to set up a new one, but Win2003 SBS doesn't have NIC drivers for the NIC on the motherboard, and I'm having a problem getting drivers for that - I gave up for a while there, but I've got to get back to it, or else give up and set the PC up as a new workstation for me and buy an actual new server with Income Tax money - and I'm cheap, I am!

Boredom? What's THAT? I'm not ALLOWED to be bored - if all else fails, there's always Honey-do's.

    Jim

Thanks for the nice comments guys. The trucks provide a nice break, and they are something I've been interested in all my life. It might be because a lot of my family members are logging and lumber truck drivers. 282mike, I actutally have two shelves in my train room with Plexiglas doors that hold them. The collection is at 25 now and growing:)

Jolly - your spin video presents a profound commentary on the plight of the human condition, particularly man's struggle against the grip of mid-winter. The middle section shot from the truck is especially sublime -- and riotously funny. :D

Bill - the modeling in those trucks is first class.
