Where can I get a kit to convert my rolling stock to body mounted couplers? I have a few locos that have body mounted couplers already but none of my rolling stock does. I want to get everything converted over before the half done layout gets put into the new house.

I have no clue what couplers are one the locos. I'll post some pics tomorrow so you guys can tell me, Super nooby.

It would be very helpful for the information you seek if we knew what kind of equipment you have that you would like to place the body mounted couplers on.

    What Type Equipment

Most H0 scale does use body mounted couplers. What type of equipment do you have? Is it Tyco or a train set?

There are a few older cheap box cars, also a few covered hoppers I got off Ebay, a flat car, a tank, its all misc. stuff for the time being. I got a some good pics from a friend of mine on how to cut off the truck mounted couplers and screw/glue on the new mounting pad and coupler, just need to know a good place to get the stuff.

I forgot to mention the locos have the knuckle style couplers.

The kadee link is very helpful, thank you.

    We Recommend TB Advertisers

We recommend our TrainBoard advertisers and do not specify other sources for train purchases. That is the TB policy as stated here. Other than that, TB members can send you a PM as to what their favorite H0 scale vendor might be.

I'd say to just buy good old Kadee #5 couplers and create your own mounts out of strip Styrene. Those should be available literally at any hobby shop real or internet. Make sure you get a coupler height gauge as well.
