    Hi all,

I'm a newbie here interested in the Chicago to Aurora triple track mainline that BNSF owns (and Metra operates their commuter service on). Anyone have the trackplan or a link to where I can get a trackplan outline of the route? I want to better understand the switching possibilities to handle express trains like they do for an upcoming N Scale NTrak project.

There was an excellent article about the race track in Trains magazine, some time ago, also a videotape is available of the route.

Not sure I still have the magazine, but will have a look. Maybe someone else can help.

Bob...What era are you doing? In the 70s Aurora was changed as far as track layout goes.... so depending on when you are modeling there is a major difference in what the track set up is.

Many thanks for the welcome and for all of the information. The link from Doug provided the basics of what I was looking for, and bn9900 supplied a lot of info as well.

I look forward to following further discussions here.
