As always...it was too dark to get pics this morning of BNSF 9647. It is headed to Lincoln, NE...ETA 8am. It is the lead motor..on an empty coal headed back to WY....trace car: KCLX 794052 Could someone get pics of that loco for me? I have been trying for a long time, but it always sneaks by me when it is dark. Thanks again.

    Bnsffan,
I have pictures on this particular locomotive. And also you can see pictures of it on the qstation website. The website is www.qstation.org It is under the BNSF section close to the bottom. The last time it was in here at galesburg the top section had looked like it had been burned. Then a conductor told me that is exactly what happened.

I kinda noticed the paint was a little bad on top....of course it was DARK the last two times I saw it. I think that motor is one of my favorites, and have been wanting to get a pic of it myself....I do have a pic or two on my website someone contributed. Thanks again for your help.

While i would like to get a photo myself as well, i'd just like to see it because it's so one of a kind!

Since it was one of a kind and also this too is my favorite locomotive. I went and bought a brass locomotive it. Now it sets in a display case untouched.

I have seen this locomotive only 4 times. Once in Hannibal,Missouri and West Quincy and twice in Galesburg.

Now my greatest fear when will it succumb to the H 2 paint scheme. The last time I seen it it looked pretty beat up and needed repainted. [IMG]
