Well, I am down to about 8 projects and most are short. I have decided the next "big" project I want to tackle is a bunch of BN MOW equipment. Derrick Boom car crew car (old passenger car) Potable water car Air car a couple of tool cars (old 40' box) a wheel car a couple of flats with pre-made track sections about 10 ballast cars a Jordan Spreader (scratch built) I have a good collection of reference material except for boom cars. It seems all photographers and railfans are much more interested in the Derrick and not the boom flat. Just wondered if anyone out there had some photos of BN (or predecessors) boom flats. Thanks
Hi Tony, There are a few photos of Frisco MOW cars in Nick Molo's Frisco/Katy Color Guide to Freight Equipment. You're probably most interested in the photos that include boom cars on pages 113 and 114. Many of the MOW photos in the book were taken after the Frisco was merged with the BN.
