Bluford Shops made a new tooling announcement at Trainfest: Along with a half-bay window version, phase 1, 2, 3, and 4 bay window cabooses. As they are still cutting the tooling, Bluford has indicated that their pre-order window will remain open until at least January 12, 2018. http://www.bluford-shops.com/bluford_93_043.htm
Ken, You may not get an answer here. Someone might send you a PM though. Have a look at this. POLICY: TrainBoard Posts About Retailers http://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/all-read-our-policy-on-discussingretailers.53290/
Aha - thank you! I never noticed that rule before... OK, is it acceptable to ask if any of the forum advertisers handle preorders? N is not my usual thing, so I don’t have dealers I work with.
My suggestion would be to try TrainWorld/TrainLand, Top Hobby Trains and/or Fifer Hobby Supply. TrainWorld/TrainLand typically posts newly announced items to their site as "available for backorder" before they are released. Not sure how the other two might handle it.
