I agree, when you announce something so far in advance it's got to be something big. I know I'd say "I'm not waiting a year and a half for a pipe load".

Whatever it is, if it's BLMA it will be good. I'd like to see them do a transition era 40ft boxcar to show MTL and IM how it could be done.

I'm guessing we're in for some F89-J PTTX pipe flats:

Which should make for some interesting loads on our layouts - and opportunities for the detail manufacturers out there (NZT, Hay Bros etc). Wonder if BLMA will serve these up with a load too?

Maybe some JTTX or MTTX F89Js after?

As much I wish for a BLMA tank train, I can't imagine Craig advertising them without reference to them being a nice set of cans.....

lol...that WOULD be the way to announce a tank train!
I'm guessing pipe loads as well...now that I see all the reference pics submitted here...very nice...
BLMA is really filling a nice little modern niche (again, coming on strong AFTER I decide to model the 50's!)...
It would be nice to see them branch into some transition-era subjects as well...they could certainly do them justice!

Being a Southern modeler I have a hard time keeping up wallet wise with the releases we do get in SOU colors. I would die to not have all 8-12-24 road numbers that Craig would do in that tobacco car if it did happen. The pipe cars are interesting but are they different castings from the current tofc cars? Or just fewer parts attached to the top? I dont know. I am so excited to get my 9 f89js (6 brown, 3 yel) when they finally show up. These will be my first BLMA cars. Sad part is my wallet is cringing at more money riding on the cars than the cars themselves with the Trainworx trailers I have been collecting.
