Not sure if i am in the right spot here(DCC or N Scale). About 4 years ago I had purchased a new BLI Diesel with DCC and Sound. I had issues with it cutting out/restarting on most of my Unitrack switches. Other DCC locos w/o sound that I had were fine, but the Broadway was so bad I RMA'd it to the dealer and got another brand that was DCC but w/o sound.
I was wondering if anyone with a unitrack layout has seen issues like this? I was contemplating getting one again, but kind of leary about it

    Thanks, Tim

Not specifically Unitrack issues (although my home layout is Unitrack), but some of the older BLIs were notorious for having connectivity problems. Some ran great. All look great. My BLIs ran for about two years before becoming completely unusable. They are in my to-do list to strip out the Paragon decoders and replace with ESU (and create more robust pickup wiring)

I don't think it's the Unitrack but rather the BLI as Rick said.

    Tim,

I will echo the comments made by Rick and MK. My experiences is:

Our club layout is total Unitrack with 60+ switches, we are totally Digitrax operating system. One of our members runs BLI m-1's and Centipedes and we have never heard any problem when passing over switches.

    As always, have fun,
    Carl
