I was replacing the burned out headlights in my Dash 9 with LEDs and while I had the locomotive apart I took it to the tracks to see if I had the LEDs wired right. I did...then I nudged the gray lead and poof, it does nothing but short. Confirmed it is the decoder. I think the exposed lead on the gray wire is just long enough to short when the wire was moved. Poop.
