I couldn't, and probably still can't make up my mind which type of film I like the best. I use to shoot both Kodachrome and Tri-X. So here is an example of Tri-X, using a red filter. Taken at Tehachapi (Walong). Circa 1984.

Here is another, taken a year earlier I believe. (I can't find my original notes). But I believe this was taken after the powerful storm that hit Tehachapi area for several days. It had shut down the line for many days. Washed out track in several places. Anyway, Bakersfield Roundhouse, with several units awaiting service. Circa 1983.

When I worked for a newspaper (quite a while ago, now) we used nothing but Tri-X In those days we didn't print color pix. Tri-X is still a B&W favorite of mine.

It is nice to see these older pictures coming out. You have a couple of good shots here.

Thanks Pierce, I have to thank my girlfriend at the time, she was a journalism major in college. So she pushed me towards Tri-X, stating at the time, that was the film of choice.

Mojave yard, Mojave Ca., have forgotten the exact year, but no doubt it was around the time of the "pending" merger with the SP. ATSF Kodachrome on the point of this freight.
