Best decoder for MDC HO 2-8-0

    Hi All

    I am looking for advice on the best decoder (non Soundtraxx) for an MDC Old Time 2-8-0 in HO scale. My kit will arrive shortly and I want to install a decoder from the get go....

    Any advice welcome

    You can use a Digitrax DZ 143 in the MDC HO 2-8-0. This decoder is used in Z scale, N scale and HO scale installations. It is a very small decoder and also has BEMF as one of it's functions.

    I use this decoder in many N scale steam loco installations where space is a premium. ;)
