If you are new to the hobby, and are planning on using sectional track, the link below will take you to a reasonable track plan (in N scale) which will provide fun operations (moving and switching cars) as well as just the fun of watching the train go round and round:

    You can take a look at this layout in progress at my Adrisport & Codyville RR. It is definitely a fun layout to build.

    A well thought out layout, and a good one to copy if there are newbies looking for inspiration. It has a mainline run, with lots of switching areas for operational interest. I like how your site is laid out, with an opportunity to see the many facets of it as you build your little empire.
