Engineer and fireman can be seen on this set of rear end helpers, as they are needed on this on this eastbound Santa Fe TOFC to help it wind it's way through Ilmon, before hitting Tehachapi, after leaving Bakersfield early in the morning on this fall day back in October of 1985.

    Mike,

Great shot, the focus is right on the locomotive but the rest of the train is still in focus. I always prefer seeing the consist of the train behind the loco.

Mike, that is a great shot all around! [IMG] You've got so many interesting things (to me, anyway [IMG] )
The mountains, the signals, the crew, the radiator flares (SD45's, my favorites! :D )

Heck, if you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have know they were helpers!
