take a camera? I regularly walk some distance more or less along the CP main. For a while, I usually carried a camera. Why did I stop? I can't remember. Oh... because I got a new camera I never figured how to use. Anyway, it seems that only since then have I seen interesting power. Today, I caught probably the best consist I ever got. CP Olympic ES44AC, CEFX blue SD40-2 in SD45 body, the clincher - a GCFX (but see below) gray SDP40, CEFX blue SD40-2 Phase 2, CP beaver AC4400CW, plus a midtrain CP ES44AC. Five and one? On a stack train? The SDP40 is the rarest engine I've ever seen; I can't find evidence that more than one (#3093) exists in this scheme. But there's something strange. I distinctly recall it having CITX reporting marks. For the rest of you, this might not be so great, but this is CP in the west.
I have moments like these often. The other kind is that I have my camera, but I am driving and there is no reasonable way I can stop, get out, and get a shot without missing the moment entirely, risking my safety, etc.
