    I have just manged to acquire a C44-9CW Undec in the correct cab arrangement to paint for BC Rail.

    I am after a few good pictures of the Tri-Colour scheme and the new blue simplified scheme. I have some photo's of the blue scheme as my Father was in Canada last year when the Dash 9s arrived in Vancouver.

    Rick, I know you tried to help Dad do his HO version, but I thought there maybe some decals available for the simplified version around the traps by now, especially in Canada. I know microscale do the Decal sheet for the Tri-Colour version however, I have seen nothing for the blue version. :confused:

    Mick, the Model Magazine Index found the following;

    - Diesel Era ran an article in the May/June 98 issue on the CWL.
    - CTC Board ran a roster update in Nov 99.
    - Rail Model Journal July 96 did an article on them using N Scale Spectrum -8's as the basis.
    - Mainline Modeler Nov 96 also did an article on the prototype.

    I may have two of these at home. I'll have a look for you.

    Gary.

    I'm going to refer this to BC Railking, by son. I'll let him deal with it.

    You should just be able to sue decals that already exist....I don't believe there is a difference in the stripes (so use the old BC Rail unit decal sets), and you can just use the BC Rail from existing Micro-Scale Decals. The safety stuff should be the exact same as the other units, but you will find after they hav been shopped a few times locations and detials such as that will change so you may have to shop around for the right warning labels. Also, you may have already noticed, when your dad was here the horns on the unit were with the bell on the front of the cab, but now the horn has been moved between the big rise before the cab and the stack. (BC Rail seems to always have the horns delivered on the front of the unit, then they move them back when the crews complain baout it 4 months later ;) ) You can call Pacific Scale Rail, whcih my dad told me you already knew about as they should have the decals. If they do not, try www.central-hobbies.com

    Happy Railroading!

    Dane,
    I thought I needed the decals to be white for the Blue C44-9? The other C44-9 set are red and blue from memory. The decals on the green scheme are yellow I think. I have the ability through a graphic artist friend to get decals made, but he cannot print out white (not an ALPS Printer).

    I will see what I can come up with.

    Sorry, I missed some words there. "Existing Micro-Scale Decals" should have been "Existing Micro-Scale BCR FREIGHT CAR decals", as they are white and the correct size.

    Sorry!
