You did a nice job on painting the logo. I'm still not sure about this. My take is that the logo doesn't fit on the nose. It's too Nike. Hyperion on the Atlas forum had a very insightful post about this new logo and name. He mentioned that it was most likely to quell bickering and infighting within the company, to unify the employees and change the culture. No more BN folks and ATSF folks, they're one big happy family. So maybe the logo isn't about what we think ("we" being more actual customers and less general public/modelers), its to change themselves.
While I'll agree to disagree on the logo, I must say you've done yourself proud. Could you post a description of how you did the logo? I'm sure a quick breakdown would be great info for a lot of us.
Be the first kid on your block to have the latest paint scheme. I am wondering if BNSF even has a real one yet. The photo on their web site seems a little like a Photoshop job to me. The new BNSF lettering is so much darker and sharper than the number on the side of the cab.
The key to it being a photoshop job is that logo on the nose. The nose is not flat, but has some angles to it, the new logo does not follow that angle and thus have some perspective (and the lighting would be slightly darker on the right side where the nose is angled away slightly).
...nope ! they are from Microscale ! ...I've took the logo from the BNSF webpage, changed from color to b/w, boosted it up to 600dpi (from 72dpi), sharpened the outlines and changed the size. then I've done three templates, a white one (undercoat), a yellow one and a black one. printed them with the Alps in overlay mode and got this decals...
