Set up description: Arduino Uno + Arduino Motor Shield Rev3; jumpers in place between 5-13 and 10-12; USB connected from Mac to Uno; 9V/1A power supply connected to Motor Shield; B Terminals on Motor Shield connected to a short Programming Track; Loco: N Scale Bachmann DCC On Board So far, I've been able to send <0> and <1> commands to the Motor Shield via the Arduino Serial Monitor. Using these commands, I can successfully turn the Motor Shield's 4 LEDs on/off. I tried sending other commands e.g. <t 1 03 20 1> but there is no response - the Loco doesn't move. Am I missing something in the configuration, setup, or command? My plan is to eventually try to control the setup using JMRI but figured I'd first try via the Arduino's Serial Monitor.
Ah, that makes sense. Switched over to Terminal A and now throttle commands work. Next will try to turn on the Loco’s lights. If that works I’ll give JMRI a try
