Got a Hon3 Balboa K-36 and want to re-power the thing for smooth and reliable performance. I,m gonna convert it to sound/dcc. Any re-power kits you guys know of would help me out tons! Thanx and Happy Holidays!
NWSL makes some units for Balboa, but not that I could find for your engine specifically. Gear ratio, idler or no, axle diameter, you should be able to find something. I would suggest the Yahoo group, "Repower and Regear", as a lot of those folks do narrow gauge, if I recall. There were a couple of problems with those, worst being brass axles in brass bearings. There is a Yahoo HOn3 group also. Hope that steers you to an answer! Dave
