    So, how is their warranty work as of late? I sent a locomotive in and they replaced it a few years ago. just curious if anything has changed?

    Haven't heard anything negative in quite a while. I recall reading that they may not be able to directly replace an item, supplies being low or out of some cataloged equipment.

    Ok cool. I picked up an 0-6-0 for $5 at my lhs (brand new) has cracked gears. Shop owner didn't want to take the time to fix or get it replaced. So into the bargain bin it went. Picked it up along with a white box 2-8-0 and a blue box B30-7 all 5 bucks each the 2-8-0 just needed a screw tightened and the b30-7 runs perfectly fine(shrug). all in all not a bad haul for $15.

    I contacted them very recently August 2015 about returning one of the 2-8-4 dcc with sound locomotives. They sent me a link by e-mail so I could complete a form describing the problem; this also assigned a return authorization number and a printable label for the shipping box. I sent the locomotive by USPS Priority so I could track it. At my request, they acknowledged receipt one day after the tracking record indicated the locomotive arrived. This is just one example of how nicely their return system works. Once my the locomotive return request is processed, I will get an e-mail regarding the status. On previous occasions, I have received a call from them when they did not have an exact replacement for the locomotive I returned; they asked what locomotive I would like as replacement for one they no longer had in stock. This is very close to my idea of an excellent system. It certainly has exceeded my expectation at this time.
