Okay, the ability of the older Bachmann steamers to kill gears is legendary, I have 4 of them sitting idle right now. Bachmann has gears available for the newer Spectrum steamers. Does anyone here know if they will fit the older ones? Thanks, Kevin

I don't know the answer to your question, however you could take a look at NWSL.com. if I search for "Bachmann" I get a 39 gear results. If you then click each result one by one, each page will tell you what it applies to. Maybe your steamers are in the list?

What models are they - 2-8-0's or 2-8-2's whitebox or earlier ones (blue)?

That's kinda what I thought. So there's no more Shapeways but James Norris (James Train Parts) has a website and shop. James had quite a few replacement parts available in his Shapeways shop. I contacted him when Shapeways stopped trading and he was looking to do something to get his parts 3d printed but I guess it will take a while for him to get it sorted. James shop is https://jamesmodelrailwayco.com/. I would reach out to him and see how you could get his parts to repair your loco's. I need more of his 4-8-4 gear sets so I'll be contacting him semi regularly over the next few months.
