Hello, I was just wondering about the Bachmann spectrum line of locos. Some are labeled as DCC ready. My question is, are these plug and play like the Atlas DCC ready locos where you just replace a circuit board or do they require additional work. I've been looking at a few of the the Spectrum steamers and a few diesels that say DCC ready and I havent been able to find much information about it. Thanks
They are not plug and play. What they have is a circuit board that has holes for you to solder the wires from a harness decoder. Directions as to which wire goes in which hole are in the box. You can also find it on their website.
