Cool......when I searched, I didn't find the trucks with couplers. I might have to think about doing a swap, althought everything is working fine as is.

I e-mailed Bachmann to see if I can get the little knob that
runs the boom and hook up and down. I guess no one works their.

This crane is a good model for a 250T crane. It's a good match for D&RGW 028, which I started to model and modernize here:

I don't think either of the Bachmann cranes I have came with the knobs either. I have some of the knobs from the other style of crane, but they use a socket on the crane, and a post on the knob.......the Bachmann is the opposite. If I remember, the one time I needed to adjust the line (too much line out on the hook) I got a dowel that would fit thru the window and stuck a glob of Museum putty on the end. The putty grabbed the post well enough to reel in the extra line. Not real convenient for daily use, but it got the job done. If you can find the right size of Evergreen square stock (or metal) you could get some epoxy putty and mold it around the square stock, then pull the stock out and let the putty dry.

To be honest, I don't think the crane is heavy enough to let you make adjustments while the car is on the tracks.........I'm afraid you'd just knock it off the rails.
