Anyone know how to remove the motor and gears from a Bachmann Big Hauler loco? - already have the bottom plate and body off. Generation is the one with a hump on the bottom plate for the gear. Thanks, Bob
Sorry I did not reply to you sooner. I have never gotten the motors out of mine. But I have torn them down when installing DCC. Ya the fine folks over at Bachman say its DCC ready. Basically that means the motor is not physically grounded to the chaise. If I remember right you have to use a nail or something to tap out one of the gears axels and then you can remove the motor. The gears axels run threw the frame and seems that the gears help hold the motor in place.
