To help you better appreciate the level of detail on this new model, check out the photos below Additional photos showing even greater detail can be found here. Pilot coupler is MT1115 in a MT2004 coupler pocket. Tender coupler is MT2004. http://www.nscalesupply.com/BAC/BAC-2-8-0.html eNjoy Don B [ 13 January 2002: Message edited by: dbn160 ]
That is one Beautiful Locomotive cool: Thanks for the photos Don, and for the link to N-Scale Supply! I sure hope I can still find an unlettered one in March/April that I can con the VP Finance into giving me for my Birthday! [ 30 December 2001: Message edited by: Hank Coolidge ]
Don. Thanks for the photo and the links. That is one beautiful engine. The detail is out of this world.
I have seen many good reports of this model, but seeing is believing Scott always does a good job with photographs on the N Scale Supply site.
When I first saw one of these babies at a nearby hobby shop, I nearly gave myself a heart attack It's that nice. Looks close enough to a C&O 2nd class G-5 to me I've got one on layaway.
WOO--HOO!! It sure looks good! I'm getting a little excited about this engine, can't wait to get a few of them in revenue service on the INDIANA RAILWAY. NOTE TO SELF: Calm down boy! You have several on order!
I finally got mine two days ago! I love it! Beautiful detail, except the piping extending at an angle under the cab seems to be slightly warped. It does have a bit of a start-stop pattern while running, but it dropped off alot after running a while. It runs about as well as my Kato Mikado, and looks ten times better. My biggest complaint is the difficulty in making a coupler work properly in the pilot opening.
