paul from atlas announced on the board that the b23 will come with factory sunshades.to me this is great.now i just have to get sunshades for the rest of my fleet.does anyone feel the same way that i do.HEY KATO GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND START MAKING BETTER DETAILED UNITS OR YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND BY ATLAS!!!sorry i get a little testy at times. ------------------ ed pinkley home of the pinkley taurus
Let's see here...painted hand railends, safety stripes on the steps, warning tags on the hoods, see-thru etched brass screens...No, I think Kato is doing alright as far as details...NOT! Yes Ed, I think you're right. Kato needs to get off their butts. All these new details from Atlas and they haven't really raised the prices, THANK GOD! So, why can't KATO do the same? Well, I guess that's what compatition will do, raise the bench mark. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! It is not a case of maybe Kato will be left behind in the details department - they already have been relogated!! I have been fitting my units with sunshades, and the difference it makes is amazing! Sunshades can be purchased, but they are very easy to make with shim brass and fine wire, so I make mine in batches. ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
The sunshades will truley be a nice feature on the new locomotive. Seeing how I have a detail part business and all, you can tell I love to super detail so these things are OK with me, but I still like to do a little on my own. What do you guys think about that? With me or not? This is gonna be interesting..... Craig,I have to agree with you on adding detail. Sometimes it's only a bit of paint but what a differance it makes. ------------------ Catt!#118
