Today I saw UP #107, a GE B23-7 with what at first appeared to be a modified cab. As I passed by it again, it looked more like an EMD cab. I just checked George Elwood's Fallen Flags site, and came up with this image: It looks as if my suspicions are correct. Can anyone confirm this is an EMD cab or if it's a homebuilt angled cab? Does anyone know the story with this locomotive? Why did it end up with this cab?
UP 107 (ex MP 4607) is fitted with an EMD-design cab due to wreck damage repair while in service as MP 4607.
