    Dear Forumites,

I need a NP Heavy Pacific for my opearating session. My plan is to cut up a Rivarossi
4-6-2. It is close enough as a starting point for a NP Class Q6.

The "donor" engine is a green Rivarossi B&O "President Adams". I am not sure if this is actually a rare model: It came as a set with three pullman-green heavyweight cars as "Capitol Limited" (I have the full set and the original box). I do see the blue-grey Pacific once in a while on E***, but as far as I recall I have never seen this green one with the short tender.

I was already firing up the dremel when I thought "hold a second, this might actually be an interesting engine for a B&O modeller".

So here is your chance to save this engine from the terrible fate to be cut up, rebuild and repainted in plain black.

PM me if you are interested in the engine or the set: It runs well enough for me to spend time and effort to rebuild it into a NP engine, though I would hardwire a tender with better pickup to it.

    Cheers
    Dirk

    Dirk,
Looking at the shot of the NP Pacific, you may find it best to start with the light pacific shell. The boiler on the NP loco doesn't seem to be as large as the RR Heavy Pacific. I believe I have a few light pacific boiler shells laying around but no heavy pacifics. The rest of the mechanism is the same between the light and the heavy. It's just a boiler change. I wouldn't mind the swapping heavy pacific boiler shell, for one or more (if I can find them) light pacific shells.
