BO B&O E8 freight colors

For you few B&O guys

 

That's the most common paint scheme I remember going through Garrett, Indiana when I was a kid.

 

Very nice......Even though it's Enchantment Blue...(C&O) it's still damn pretty.....:thumbs_up:

 

B&O did not have a specific 'Freight' paint scheme as did ATSF and some other companies. When the Blue, Gray & Black scheme was the paint scheme de jour it was applied to all engines, freight & passenger. When the paint scheme pictured became the paint scheme de jour it was applied to all locomotives that were being repainted.

 

I think that the original B&O blue, gray, and black was the best looking paint scheme, particularly on the FA2s. I have FAs in that paint scheme in O and HO scale - still hoping to find some in N (hint to anyone that has some they want to part with)...
