    Hi,
I've joined this list grasping at straws trying to find out where I would find employee records for at least the year 1918. I am a genealogist researching my family tree. I know you would rather converse about trains, but I can use some help.

I found the World War I Draft Registration for Clarence A. McMahon stating he was a switchman car hand in Chicago, Illinois employed by the B. O. Ct. The date on his registration was September 12, 1918 and he lived in Chicago. I find nothing about him after that.

The Census records for 1910, show him as a Brakeman, unknown railroad, living in Linoln, Illinois.

Does anyone know if there are records available for the employees who worked for this railroad, retirement records, etc.

Thank you to anyone who may help me find a lead to finding more about Clarence McMahon,
    Lois Branch

    Lois-

I cannot find my old bookmark right now, however, on one of the sites for USDOT or STB (Surface Transportation Board), there are some links intended to help people searching for this type of data.
