    Rob,

I'm assuming from reading previous posts that they're body-mounted? Does AZL plan to release couplers as a separate item and how do they compare to the MTL's as far as overall length? Are they shorter, longer or about the same size? Just courious, because one of the things that I don't like about the MTL's is the way they "stick out" too far from the car.

    Thanks,

    Phil

AZL will be selling the couplers separately. They match the Micro-Trains couplers and are very close to the same length. I have not compared them side by side so I don't know exactly.

AZL's truck mounted couplers will come in different lengths. There will be three versions offered.

Phil, I found the Ztrack couplers is a little bit shorter then MTL couplers. It will would rub the cars together iin tight radius.

could someone post a picture comparison of the different couplers or a good description? at least the Z track and MTL. i haven't heard of or seen these and would like to know how they are mounted i.e. what kind of shank do they use? coupler box? etc.

also how do i buy them (MTL i know, but not the rest)?
    thanks so much,
    dave f.

I think that should be "AZL"couplers rather than "ZTrack" couplers (ZTrack distributes AZL products).

The AZL couplers are currently used on the F59PHI sets and I think they show up OK in the photos that Rob posted of the upcoming CoalPorter cars.

Thanks for all the info, guys. I guess when the AZL's are offered, I'll buy a few and see what will work the best. I don't plan to use the uncoupler feature much if at all for my own personal use, so having couplers that stay coupled would be great! Also, I don't plan to have any sharp radius curves (once I actually build my layout  ), so I'd just like to have closer coupling - I think it looks better. :D

It's probably been answered before. But to refresh my fading memory again.

Do the AZL couplers work together with MTL's couplers?
Or are the couplers not compatible?

They couple together, but not automatically like MTL couplers do.
