A set of three heavyweight cars have arrived on the property. [IMG]

I acquired them on eBay, and they are in Pennsy paint scheme. I had originally intended repainting them in pullman green, but rather like the maroon color.

I want to put ANDERSLEY WESTERN in place of any Pennsylvania wording and logos. Any tips on doing this, or will I have to repaint maroon first and put all the lettering back on? The cars are Rivarossi.

These cars will be hauled by my Bachmann steam locomotive.

I have succesfully removed lettering using a pencil eraser. Requires a little elbow grease at times. I have also used rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. This works a little better, but be careful not to leave it on too long because it can start to strip some paints.

I think one or two open platform old-timers would look good in that consist, too! :D

I heartily recommend 91% isopropyl alcohol for that job. And as suggested, don't leave it on too long.

Alan, you have the beginnings of a nice-looking excursion train!
