Oct 26th, 27th and the 28th The North Central Region of the NMRA held a Tri Region Convention in Ft. Wayne Indiana. The Mid Continent, North Central and Mid West regions got together for a weekend of train related activities. There were clinics, layout tours and even a chance to be an engineer for 15 minutes (which I did). The Yard shot won first place and the elevator scene won honorable mention. One of the judges told me that the elevator shot would have won forst place if I had not gotten carried away with my weathering. When you are putting things together the nite before the contest you have a tendacy to rush things which I sure did.
