I am happy to be able to share with you some progress on the ACRR. Things have gone well, this track in the yard has been down for a while, but I just borrowed the church's digital camera and got this pic. Lables were added with Photosuite. By the way, this portion of the layout is 24 inches wide and from backdrop to edge of layout is 8 feet. Yes there is still A LOT of work to be done, but I can run trains on the main, the branch, and through both access tracks. With DCC, I can run several trains at once, but alone I can only manage 2, one on the main, one on the branch. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. It looks good Jeff, I wish I had as much space as you do. I like your water tower in the background there.
Yes, that's the water tower that I built out of two infant nasal aspirators. It's a bit small, but looks right (which is really what counts). There's a how-to on my web page. By the way, that is N=scale, so you Horribly Oversized guys will have to find something bigger. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. Us Horribly Oversized folks love using N scale stuff, it forces the perspective to add more depth to our layouts
I can't tell you how many times I've been inspired by the work seen on N scale railroads that I can posssibly use on my Humongously Oversized layout. Even from Oversized and Supersize ( O and S )scale pikes
