For those of you that would like models of certain diesels that aren't currenntly being produce, and the only way to get one is to kit-bash a custom version using a host of parts from names like Cannon, RPP, Athearn, etc., I have a question for you.

How would you feel if you could purchase locomotive sides, similar to American Model Builders' laser-cut passenger car sides, that onced purchased would allow you to insert Cannon doors, grilles, traction motor blower housings, and various other Cannon parts in openings specifically made for that particular part?

Most people use Evergreen strip styrene to form sides when scatchbuilding or kit-bashing diesels. However, with sides available for diesels like EMD GP38-2(Late), GP39-2, GP40, GP40P-2, GP40TC, GP49, GP59, GP60, SD20, SD20-2 SD24, SD26, SD38, SD38-2, SD39, SDP40, SD40A, SD40X, SD45, SDP45, SD45T-2, SD50S, SD50, and SD60MACs many time consuming steps can be eliminated and you could well on you way to obtaining that Illinois Central SD40A you previously had to purchase two RPP or Kato SD40s to build!

    What are your thoughts?
