Anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area (and regional) that has a 4x8 layout that can be moved, the San Francisco International Airport Museum will be displaying a Model Railroading exhibition from November thru April. This is in the International check-in terminal where 1 - 1.5M people will see it, in a week. There are numerous large glass display cases where you layout will be fully enclosed in a climate controlled, dust free, hands off environment. It will be a non-operational static display. Legs should be removable to set the height in the display case. They can skirt or mask it. They have collected model railroading memorabilia from around the U.S. from tin plate to our Z scale items. There will be numerous layouts, track work, etc in the display cases and on weekends, may local groups will bring modular layouts and such to run for the public. Everything is enclosed, secure and insured. This is a great way for people from around the world to get a eye on model railroading, including children. Those of you that travel like I do may understand how nice it is to see something familiar in another country, as they would when passing thru SF. This is in the main International terminal where everyone has to see it as they check in, go to the food courts and security gates. Any layout is welcome, from the simple to the complex. They can even likely get the dust off of it for you Please contact: Kenn Yazzie Sr. Museum Registar (and train nut) 650-821-6788 museum: http://www.sfoarts.org/about/programs.html schedule: http://www.sfoarts.org/exhibits/future.html
