Hey Everyone, I'm working on something, that I need some feed back on....

As you all know I'm a navid modeler, plus own my own shop in the hobby. In this, I've came to the point where I've been modeling the B&O all my time in the hobby, however, I live on Sand Patch, in Meyersdale, PA. So that leads me to model my area, for the B&O, in this, theirs a few tunnels on this division. Making Sand Patch tunnel my favorite section. So having said this, I'm designing Sand Patch tunnel portals, both eat an west portals, in HO. BUT I want to know if any other modelers would be interest in these? I'm going to be making the Sand Patch tunnel portals in sets for HO, an if their is an interest in this, in other scales, I will then scale them down an mass produce them too! I'm not taking about the original bore, I'm talking the one still used today that was completed in 1912.

Anyone interested post here, or e-mail me on your thoughts! I'd be happy to hear what everyone has to say.....

In this all I may do other tunnels as well! Like "Shoofly" tunnel etc.... (I think thats spelt right). I'm also concidering doing Western Maryland tunnels as well, like "Big Savage" tunnel... BUT to do some of these other tunnels, I will need pics to ollow as guide lines for scaling them.

Any questions, feel free to ask! :D As for the Sand Patch tunnel, It so far is to scale as far as it gets! I actually went to Sand Patch tunnel (West portal, Meyersdale side) with 2 tape measures, one 100 foot an one 25 foot! And sat an scaled it down. Heres a few pictures, of the work, this is a "Master Copy" To make the mold from. All Tunnels made, will be done this same way!

Here's another shot of the West Sand Patch tunnel portal.....

Heres a picture of the real thing..... :D

Let me know what you all may think! :D

it looks really realistic, you just need paint and it'll look just like the same thing.
    Good job!

    Patrick,
The copy you see of the one I made, is just a "Master Copy" I will be in time making these to sell, an leave the painting an weathering up to the people that buy them. Being they're weathering an all thats needed once on there layouts could be different from what I do to the scenic part. So, once I get into production with them, will be a sale of the raw scenic item. In plaster, ALTHO, production is held on this till summer, (I've currently relocated) an my shop isn't up an running yet I have alot to move yet. So, I've moved production further into the future. Till I get my shop sit up an running once again.
