I will need to attach the track to the cork roadbed soon. If I remember correctly when I got to this point once and used track nails it didn't work very well, and this time I have a hollow core door and I am wondering if the nails will scure the track. I really don't want to glue the track on unless I have too.

Also, what is the mixture for applying ground cover with glue, and do I use white glue, or wood glue?

    Thanks,

I know some HO and larger still prefer the nails. Many of us in N scale just glue the track to the cork road bed, with a variety of product. Some like construction adhesive (Liquid Nails) and it works well. I've tried it myself and it holds great. I prefer regular white glue now. Holds just fine and can be loosened with water if you ever have to change the track arangement later (because no matter how final your plan is, things always seem to change...).

As far as adhering scenery cover I use the standard 50-50 mix(maybe 40-60) of white glue and water. Remember to soak the area with "wet water" first. Wet water is water with a little alcohol or a drop of dish soap in it. Some use both. This will help the glue absorb mor evenly.
