I am going to leave this straight section of track for storage or parking a short passenger train for staging.
And where it will tie into the inner loop. Left to right you have the outer loop siding, outer loop mainline, storage track,(The one that used to go around the curve), and the inner mainline loop to the far right.
Tomorrow the cork glue should be dried and I will remove the nails, sand it, and then start gluing the track down. Have some work to do at my church for a couple hours so wont get nothing going till the afternoon. But I am looking forward to getting the inner loop done!
Did get the track down on the new inner loop benchwork. (Pipe wrench weight in use under the ATSF bench work. )
Assorted weights....LOL Will let these curves dry tonight, and get on the straight sections tomorrow.
The inner loop is complete!!!! The last three sections of flex have been liquid nailed in place and 'weighted'. Will let it dry over night and check it all when I get home from work tomorrow. So glad to have them both done finally. I would have taken a new picture but I somehow broke the little thing on my wifes cameras card that 'Locks' the dang thing so I will have to go buy a new card before I can get more photos. One of the hazards of photographing a layout in progress I guess......LOL
Isn't it odd that we can install a tiny piece of photo etched brass without even bending it, but can't get the card in the damned camera without breaking the tab? Sometimes I think we don't have our priorities straight. Other times, however, I do.
You know, my wife said something along those lines when I told her I broke the tab on the card.....LOL
Home late and it is going to snow tonight......in Alabama! Need to eat quick, and get down there and see how everything turned out before it really gets cold.
Looking excellent! I cant wait to see it in the scene. (Just be careful with that clamp on the canopy, that's one of the model's weak points! ):nailbiting::nailbiting:
