    Hi friends
I have been working on a ATSF Horse Express for the past month now and here's a photo of my progress so far. I believe all I have left to do is add the lettering.

That's an interesting looking car. Did you kitbash, or scratchbuild?

Its brass sides on a stripped down Rivarossi full baggage core. I filed the full baggage's sides down till all the detail was completely gone. I figure once I was done filing the sides they were about half as thick as when I started. I also completely removed all details from the bottom of the car and made new parts from evergreen plastic. Being that the sides are brass I soldered everything I could so it would hold up better over time and I glued the sides to the core using epoxie. I have found that CA type glue is not the best stuff to use on brass sides, yes it does dry fast but it also breaks free easy. Epoxie gives you better working time and the parts never come apart.

Looks good! Can't wait to see the finished product. The only thing you will be missing is the smell!
