I've got a pair of old MRC (Yugo) ATSF FA-2's that I am converting to M-T couplers. Unfortunately, I have no engine numbers for these relics. Can anybody provide me with a list of ATSF FA-2 numbers, or point me in the right direction to find such a list? Bob nmtexman@yahoo.com [ 06 September 2001: Message edited by: nmtexman ]</p>
Santa Fe did not have any Alco FA units, only PA's, the passenger engines. So guess you are out of luck on that one. Bob Miller
Bob, I find no reference to FA units either. The only Alco units I see referenced are: PA1/PB1 #s 51LAB-62LAB, 70LA-71LA RS1 #s 2385-2388, 2394-2395 RS2 #s 2110 RSD4 #s 2100-2109 RSD5 #s 2110-2162 RSD7 #s 600-611 RSD15 #s 800-849 S1 #s 2303-2304 S2 #s 2322-2391 S4 #s 1500-1537 There were also : HH-600 #s 2300-02 HH-1000 #s 2310-21 Don't know if that will help, but those are all the Alcos I could find. The road numbers are all original and each was renumbered several times. Good luck and Happy Modeling! John
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the PA-2's had longer noses than the FA-2's. If this is the case, I definitely have FA-2's and they are definitely in ATSF colors. So, MRC messed up?
