A year ago I purchased 2 Atlas VO-1000 locos. One had a decoder installed the other was decoder ready. I have been trying to get a decoder for the one without a decoder, but have to date been unsuccessful. My latest word from Atlas was the decoders they received to sell did not meet their quality standards. They said they have no idea when they will have any. Apparently a Lenz decoder is installed in the one I have with the decoder installed. Does anyone out there know of a Lenz decoder that will plug in? Thanks
You could hardwire a lenz mini-gold decoder to the VO-1000. Lenz no longer makes drop-ins other than those that Atlas authorizes it to make. Stay cool and run steam.....
