Am wondering what RS-1 units have been done for the Minneapolis & St.Louis RY? In N scale, they did two numbers in yellow/green paint. Two more recently in red/white. Have they done the same in HO? Boxcab E50
Boxcab I got Atlas RS1 #222,part#8874,in red and white for M&StL a while back. I know they did two numbers in this scheme, but I don't know what the other # was. Have you tried their website? I'd love one in green and yellow. It's a great model-all I did was change to KD 58's. Best wishes Steve
Boxcab Did a quick check...... Nothing on Atlas site but Walthers 2003 catalogue gives...... RS1 8874 M&StL#222 RS18875M&StL#227 Both red and white Hope this helps Steve
Steve- Yes. It helps! I proves to me what I'd been wondering. That in these instances, Atlas production in N & HO were mirrored. If you find the catalog numbers for the green/yellow versions, I'd be interested! Loco numbers being the same as N, would be 246, 845. Thanks! Boxcab E50
Boxcab Quick check in Walthers shows only red/white,but they do two undecorated versions if you fancy rolling out the masking tape!!!! Best wishes Steve
Steve- I had a fellow send me a private e-mail that he owned one of the green/yellow units in HO. Both the box and unit were downstairs. So he couldn't refer to those for numbers. Hoping he'll e-mail me again. Boxcab E50
Boxcab Is he thinking about C&NW units?? Did they do one in their scheme?? Would sure like one in that colour.... All the best Steve
Steve- The unit described was in the pre-merger M&St.L green/yellow. What has been categorized as "Scheme 8." Six RS1's were painted this way. Boxcab E50
Steve- Received your e-mail. My reply bounced. Tried sending another. Hope it gets through to you! Boxcab E50
Boxcab Nothings come thru the wires yet... Maybe it stuck middle of the Atlantic ? Hope it does get across Good luck Steve
