Hi all, i got a atlas mp15dc switcher (nscale) decoder is factory installed. does anybody know what kind of lenz decoder it is and where to fins a list of the programmable cv value's. thanks in advance from a dcc newbie. stevenb
Stevenb; I do not have a15, but I have a pair of C630's with factory installed lenz decoders in them. These decoders are made for Atlas by Lenz. Go to the Atlas site and you will find all the info such as model; cv line up the whole works. Woz
It may not be an Lenz decoder. I found this out when I had a decoder die in an Atlas GP38 about 18 months ago. I contacted Lenz with my problem and they told me in plan English that they do not make the decoders for Atlas any more and have not for many years. The person went on to say that they cannot understand why Atlas still puts Lenz on the package insert. How I understand it, the technology that Atlas is using was developed for them by Lenz. The manufacture ID (CV 7) that is returned is Atlas and not Lenz when I have tested some of my Atlas locos with a "Lenz" decoder. The NMRA web site states CV 7 of 99 = Lenz Elektronik GmbH 127 = Atlas Model Railroad Co., Inc. I suggest you email jmiller@AtlasO.com This is the person that Lenz put me in contact with. Gary
It may well be made by NCE as tey were to start producing for Atlas. Anyway, it will be built to the specification laid down by Atlas so there will be your first port of call.
