Just a heads up. I had to replace the motor in my Atlas C-424. I went to the Atlas website and this motor was sold out. So I did a quick comparison with the motor that powers the current GP40's and ordered one. Well I am pleased to say that the GP40 motor is a perfect fit. The motor from Atlas comes with flywheels and motor cradle. Again all the parts fit perfectly. I know this motor is not the Kato built motor that came with my C-424, but it runs just as well. For your information I believe the motor cost $21 plus shipping. So if you have an old Atlas sitting around and need to have it repowered, check out the Atlas website. They may have a motor that will fit.

This is kinda off the subject but i ordered 20 of the MU sets for the GP38/40 because they are so well done and would make finishing up any other models a snap...
