They sound like good locomotives, and I'm sure Atlas will sell quite a few- but like Matt, I don't need them, so I'll save my money for other things.

Speaking of Atlas, that board is all up in arms about the introduction of the H15s. You would have though Atlas was announcing it was building Tyco-like locomotives by the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Each complainer whined about their favorite locomotive not being built, that by doing the FMs Atlas was going to lose business, etc. Nothing a clean diaper and a warm bottle of formula wouldn't cure... :D :D

Oh well, some people would gripe if you hung them with a new rope.......... [IMG]

Atlas is having a good late summer/fall it seems. Yesterday I got my monthly C&O "Hysterical" Society magazine and flyers. The C&O Model shop announced it is offering Atlas AS-616's (Baldwin) in the original C&O, "As delivered" paint scheme. EXCELLENT!! I am ordering one this morning.

The C&O ran these puppies in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.. .usually doing heavy yard duty and/or transfer service between major points. THey typically ran in single units with a few "MU'd". I have wanted one for sometime.. just a single to have the representation on my layout.

Three Cheers for Atlas. Stuff like this is what makes me crack my wallet. [IMG] Normally $115 offered by the C&O to members for $89 and change.

Well.. so much for my post above. The C&O Historical Society flyer incorrectly stated Atlas. My AS 616 arrived today and it is a STEWART engine. Not complaining... the suckah runs great and looks even better. Stewart did an EXCELLENT job with this engine.

I had seen the Stewart AS 616's for a while but just hadnt taken the time purchase one. I was sort of surprised when the C&O flyer stated Atlas.. but.. hey.. what do I know?

A find is a find. Good engine.. and good job Atlas.. UHHHHHH.. I mean Stewart!!!
