Hmmm... I'm thinking the manufacturer would be right on this one.

Well, My first response is... Why didn't they make it all 4 digit addressing? And while on 4 digit addressing, why are they selling locos with only 2 digit capability?

Don't we all want to address our loco's to the number on the number board? what if I have loco 6510 and 910 (I do by the way) on the layout? I would have to remember one as loco 10 and the othre as 65? or was it 10 and 91?

I bet it costs the same for 2 or 4 digit addressing.

I'm just getting ready for DCC, but since all or most of my locos are "off the shelf" numbers, and since everyone else will be doing 4 digit ar least two digit addressing, I'm thinking about 2 digits, but the middle two. In your example, the first would be 51 and the second would be 91. That way I could run with anybody else and the chance of an address conflict would be miniscule.
