I got my GP40 (ho scale) running last night. I will say this. The Atlas Factory decoders do work very well and do accept 4 digit addressing. For N&W fans you will have to play around with the variables to have the long hood and the headlight run as forward. I do have one question, which I haven't figured out. Has anyone go the headlights on the decoder to dim? How did you do it?
Has to be an FX decoder in order to have Rule 17 lighting. Usually it is set up on function 4, and I can't remember the CV values right now. One thing I don't like is that it dims, but doesn't shut of the DLs, which is what they do in real life.
